10-Day Marrakech to Casablanca Grand Tour

Overview

Guided days in Marrakech and Fes, a night in the Sahara, two nights in Chefchaouen and the north and Atlantic coasts.

Itinerary

1. Day 1

   Marrakech

   Guided visit: the Koutoubia, the Bahia Palace, the Ben Youssef Madrasa, the souks and Jemaa el-Fna square.

2. Day 2

   Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

   Over the Tizi n'Tichka pass, visit Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate, then the Valley of Roses to the Dades Valley.

3. Day 3

   Dades – Todra Gorge – Merzouga

   Walk in the Todra Gorge, then Erfoud and Merzouga. Sunset camel ride into Erg Chebbi and night in camp.

4. Day 4

   Merzouga – Ifrane – Fes

   Sunrise on the dunes, then north through the Ziz Valley, the Middle Atlas cedars and Ifrane to Fes.

5. Day 5

   Fes

   Guided visit of the Fes el Bali medina: the Chouara tanneries, the Bou Inania madrasa, the Al Quaraouiyine area and the royal palace gates.

6. Day 6

   Fes – Chefchaouen

   Drive into the Rif mountains to Chefchaouen. Afternoon in the blue streets.

7. Day 7

   Chefchaouen

   A free day in the blue medina, or a walk to the Akchour waterfalls and God's Bridge in the Talassemtane park.

8. Day 8

   Chefchaouen – Tetouan – Tangier

   The white medina of Tetouan, then Tangier: Cap Spartel and the Caves of Hercules.

9. Day 9

   Tangier – Asilah – Rabat

   The painted walls of Asilah on the Atlantic, then Rabat's Kasbah of the Udayas and the Hassan Tower.

10. Day 10

    Rabat – Casablanca

    Drive to Casablanca, visit the Hassan II Mosque, then drop-off at your hotel or the airport. End of the tour.
