Overview

Our longest journey: imperial cities, the blue city, two nights in the Sahara, a High Atlas lodge, Essaouira and Marrakech.

Itinerary

1. Day 1

   Arrival in Casablanca

   Your driver meets you at Mohammed V airport. Visit the Hassan II Mosque on the ocean and the Corniche, then check in at your hotel.

2. Day 2

   Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

   Drive to Rabat for the Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V Mausoleum and the Kasbah of the Udayas, then continue to the blue city of Chefchaouen in the Rif mountains.

3. Day 3

   Chefchaouen

   A free day in the blue medina, or a walk to the Akchour waterfalls and God's Bridge in the Talassemtane park.

4. Day 4

   Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

   The Roman ruins of Volubilis, the holy town of Moulay Idriss and the imperial city of Meknes, then Fes.

5. Day 5

   Fes

   Guided visit of the Fes el Bali medina: the Chouara tanneries, the Bou Inania madrasa, the Al Quaraouiyine area and the royal palace gates.

6. Day 6

   Fes – Ifrane – Merzouga

   Middle Atlas, Ifrane, Midelt and the Ziz Valley palm groves. Night in a hotel at the foot of the dunes.

7. Day 7

   A day in Merzouga

   Khamlia and its Gnawa musicians, nomad families and optional quad, buggy or sandboarding. Sunset camel ride and night in the desert camp.

8. Day 8

   Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades

   Sunrise on the dunes, then Rissani, the Todra Gorge and the Dades Valley. Night in the valley.

9. Day 9

   Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou

   The Valley of Roses, the Skoura palm grove and Ouarzazate. Night near the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.

10. Day 10

    Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Imlil

    Morning in the ksar, then across the Atlas to Imlil. Night in a mountain lodge facing Toubkal.

11. Day 11

    Imlil

    Guided walk to the village of Aroumd and the walnut terraces, with lunch in a Berber house.

12. Day 12

    Imlil – Marrakech

    A last mountain breakfast, then the short drive down to Marrakech.

13. Day 13

    Marrakech

    Guided visit: the Koutoubia, the Bahia Palace, the Ben Youssef Madrasa, the souks and Jemaa el-Fna square.

14. Day 14

    Marrakech – Essaouira

    Drive west through the argan forest, with a stop at a women's argan cooperative, to the coastal town of Essaouira.

15. Day 15

    Essaouira – Marrakech

    Return to Marrakech or transfer to the airport. End of the tour.
