4-Day Marrakech to Merzouga, Slow Pace

Overview

The classic desert loop with shorter driving days: two nights in the Dades Valley, one in an Erg Chebbi camp, and the kasbahs on the way.

Itinerary

1. Day 1

   Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

   Over the Tizi n'Tichka pass, visit Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate, then the Valley of Roses to the Dades Valley.

2. Day 2

   Dades – Todra Gorge – Merzouga

   Walk in the Todra Gorge, then Erfoud and Merzouga. Sunset camel ride into Erg Chebbi and night in camp.

3. Day 3

   Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades

   Sunrise on the dunes, then Rissani, the Todra Gorge and the Dades Valley. Night in the valley.

4. Day 4

   Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

   Valley of Roses, Ouarzazate and a visit of Ait Ben Haddou, then over the Tizi n'Tichka pass to Marrakech.
